PESTO!
Basil Pesto with Pine nuts
Makes about 2 cups
Very easy recipe and quick to make
2 Cups picked basil, no stems
2 Cups Pine Nut seeds
2 Cloves of Garlic
1/2 Cup Freshly Grated Parmesan or Grana Padano
1/2 Cup Extra Virgin Olive oil
1 pinch of Ground Black Pepper
Start by toasting the pine nuts to a dark golden color, you can substitute the pine nuts with other nuts, just make sure to toast them in order to get the nut oils out to maximize flavor.
Grind everything up, using a mixer or a blender to the consistency you like, coarse or fine, totally up to your liking!
